This popular evening concert features Bluegrass and Gospel bands from around our
local area. Some come from just down the street and others come as far away as
Milton, Fl. and the pine forest of north Mobile county. They all come because
they are generous people that believe playing Bluegrass music is good for
everyone's mind, heart, and soul. We usually have a good number of bands
signed up so chances are you'll see a different band each week for several
months before any one band plays again. This is Wales West's way of
building Christian community so come on over and enjoy some good old fashioned
fun with us this winter. We provide the chairs, free snacks, and even a train
ride after the show.
* A note on fuel prices *
The donations we take in do not pay enough to cover the fuel
bills our bands run up to get here and play for you. Starting this year we will
be placing a "BUY THE BAND SOME GAS" donation box on the snack
table. This in in addition to the donation bowl we always pass around (which
supports the bands and the program) after the
concert starts. If you respond with your generosity then the bands will be able
to afford to keep coming so please be as generous with your dollars' as they are
with their time!
